Robin Gourley

Robin Gourley (born in Ireland) is an Australian former rugby league footballer of the 1960s, and a two time premiership winner with the St. George Dragons.
==Career==

After initially playing rugby union in his native Ireland, Gourley took up rugby league in Wagga after he moved to Australia in 1958 when he was 23 years of age. He represented N.S.W. while living and playing in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales. This brought Gourley to the attention of Frank Facer who signed him to the premiers for the following season. He temporarily ended his career as a farmer, and moved to Sydney where he played from 1963 to 1966 as a front-row forward for the St. George Dragons, including in the team's Grand Final wins in 1965 and 1966.
He also represented Country NSW in 1967 while playing for his local Narrabri, New South Wales rugby league club. 〔Alan Whiticker/Glen Hudson: Encyclopdeia of Rugby League Players. 1995 (ISBN 1875169571)〕
Robin Gourley is the father of fellow Dragon, Scott Gourley.
